We’re excited to share that our founder and CEO, Lindsay Telles, was featured in Woman Founded alongside five other women business leaders in an article about making virtual meetings more focused, useful, and respectful of everyone’s time.
Lindsay shared several practices we use at Sellet Media to keep meetings productive. Internal conversations stay quick and informal so the team can solve problems honestly and in real time. Client meetings require a strong understanding of the account before the call begins, while executive updates focus on what is happening, why it matters, what we recommend, and whether a decision is needed.
She also explained why every meeting should end with clear ownership and deadlines. At Sellet Media, we close with a verbal recap and follow it with a written summary while the conversation is still fresh. That simple step helps prevent different interpretations of what was decided.
For major client presentations, we also make sure more than one team member has access to the materials, so one technical issue cannot derail the meeting.
Most importantly, Lindsay shared how her approach has evolved. Saying yes to every meeting may feel accessible, but too many meetings can reduce focus and make a team less effective.
We’re grateful to Woman Founded for including Lindsay’s perspective in this thoughtful discussion.
